Woodland Living off grid with nature by a stream

In early 2020 we decided there was more to life than working to live and living to work. Changes were needed, freedom was needed!

We sold our beautiful boat (our home for the last four years), moved from Hartlepool in County Durham to Coed Glannant, Ystradgynlais, in Powys.

'What do you want with a woodland', some people asked (to be fair, these were the same people who asked 'what do you want with a boat' some four years earlier), and we gave them the same answer. 'We want somewhere different to live'

Coed Glannant is no ordinary place to live; Coed Glannant is the very living itself.

Working in conjunction with the Welsh 'One Planet Design' Coed Glannant is an example of sustainability and permaculture.

Successfully managing the woodland allows us to live for free; Everything we have and need, comes from the woodland and goes back to the woodland in a continuous cycle.
